Teen Volunteers

The Woodbridge Town Library offers several volunteer opportunities for teens! Check out the events below- if you’re interested in volunteering for something, fill out the registration form and someone will contact you with more information. Have further questions? Send an email to ecantor@woodbridgetownlibrary.org

Ongoing Programs:

Teen Advisory Board: Have ideas on how the library can make an impact on the community? Join us once a month to discuss library programming and volunteer ideas (and eat snacks while doing so!) TAB attendees get first dibs on volunteer opportunities. TAB is done for the school year! Our next meeting will be in September 2024.

Shelf Reading: Help us keep our shelves in order! A librarian will show you how to make sure the books are in alphabetical and numerical order. Teen volunteers can do shifts of either 30 minutes or 1 hour, and are welcome to do as many shifts as they’d like per week.

Book Buddies: Read to kids! Book Buddies takes place on Tuesdays at 11am (we ask volunteers to show up at 10:30). You’ll be matched with a kid and given a few picture books to read together! This program runs from June 18th to August 13th. If you’d like to volunteer, fill out the form below and mention which Tuesday you’re interested in.

One-Time Events:

End of Summer Reading Party: Help us make our summer reading celebration a hit! We’re looking for volunteers to help with set-up, handing out snacks, face painting, and manning other stations. The event starts at 2pm and runs until 4pm, but those looking to help with set-up should plan to arrive at 1:30pm.
