Massaro Community Farm and the Woodbridge Town Library are partnering for a showing of the Emmy award winning PBS film, Journey of the Universe, followed by a discussion about our profound connection with the Earth led by Woodbridge residents and Executive Producers, Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim.

Film & Discussion: Drawing on the discoveries of modern science as well as the wisdom of the world's cultures, Journey of the Universe tells a compelling story of evolution and our role in the web of life.  Such a narrative encourages rethinking how humans are part of a macro scale universe, even as it promotes local practices creating biodiverse cultures, economies, and politics on the micro scale. The 1-hour film will be a springboard for a discussion about our relationship with the Earth, and how we might deepen our awareness of our connection, both spiritually and practically.

Bio: Mary Evelyn and John are faculty affiliated with the Yale Center for Environmental Justice and direct the Yale Forum on Religion and Ecology. With Brian Swimme, they created Journey of the Universe, a multi-media project that includes the film, a book (Yale, 2011), Conversations, and online courses from Yale/Coursera.

This event is fully booked.
