Supervision of Children
Please refer to our Supervision of Children Policy below for official guidelines concerning caregiver’s responsibility for children while in the library. As a reminder, it is state law that no child under the age of 12 may be left in the building unsupervised. Library staff cannot be responsible for supervising children.
Program Attendance Disclaimer
Library staff work hard to provide the community with accessible and enjoyable programs. We require registration for many of our programs to ensure that we can accommodate everyone who wishes to attend. Unfortunately, when registrants fail to show up to programs without notice, it can disrupt the program and discourage us from offering it again in the future.
To encourage participation in our programming and to ensure a more enjoyable experience for all our patrons, we will be enforcing the following No Call, No Show policy: if a patron fails to show up to a registered event without notifying the library more than two times, they will be placed on a waitlist for the next event they sign up for.
We understand that life can get busy and you may not be able to attend an event you signed up for. If this is the case, let us know! Send us an email at childrens@woodbridgetownlibrary.org, or give us a call at the children’s desk at 203-389-3439. You can also check your reminder email for the event- most of them include cancelation links!
