Need Help Filing Your Taxes?

Woodbridge VITA Services

The Woodbridge Human Services VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program is still available to prepare income tax returns at no cost for qualifying residents. The VITA program has operated for over 50 years, offering free tax help to people with low to moderate income, senior citizens, as well as people with disabilities and limited English. Volunteer preparers are annually trained and certified to IRS standards.

Like everything else in a pandemic, the program looks a little different this year. If you have a camera phone and an email address, you can begin the process at GetYourRefund.org/WBSC-CT. This is a new and secure national VITA website, created to serve the virtual needs of the program during the pandemic. You will still use local volunteers and will be contacted by phone and email.

Taxpayers who are unable to access a camera phone or email are encouraged to call Woodbridge Human Services at (203) 389-3429 to schedule an intake telephone appointment with a tax preparer and directions for drive-through document scanning.

For other questions regarding this program, please call Human Services.
