In this workshop, students will learn how to create a beautiful Autumn landscape painting with watercolors. First, students will be introduced to various watercolor techniques, such as painting on wet paper, painting on dry paper, and working with different widths of brush stroke. We will talk about how each of these techniques can be used to create a particular element in a landscape. We will also be discussing how warm and cold colors can be used to create depth and perspective. Students will work on a series of exercises in order to become comfortable with these techniques. They will then apply these methods to a final painting, which will be created with the guidance of step-by-step demonstrations along the way. No prior painting experience necessary!
