Art Reception: Quilts on Show

Please join us for an art reception for our August artists Quilts on Show: A Patchwork of Our Community, on Wednesday, August 16, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.

Several of the quilters will be on hand to answer questions and discuss their artistic process.

Held in the Meeting Room. All welcome.

The exhibit will remain through the rest of August; stop by anytime during our open hours to view the pieces.

We have air conditioning!

As summer progresses and temperatures rise, remember that we have air conditioning. Please come visit if you need to get out of your house/the heat.

Our hours:
Monday – Thursday: 10 am to 8 pm
Friday & Saturday: 10 am to 5 pm

Besides books and magazines, we also have wifi, puzzles, games, etc, if you need something to do. Be safe and hope to see you soon!

The History of Beekeeping and Connecticut’s Role In Apiculture

How did the Honey Bees get here? Are Honey Bees native to the United States? Who is L. L. Langstroth and why was Connecticut so important to him? Learn how the Langstroth Hive came to be and the Honey Bee’s importance to Agriculture!

This lecture is presented by Catherine Wolko, who is a second-generation Beekeeper and owner of The Humble Bee Honey company and The Hive @ The Pin, A Farm Store and Honey House located in Oakville.
